# How many followers do you need for brand deals?

> There is no single follower count that qualifies a creator for all brand deals. Creator-posted sponsorships often include audience requirements; asset-only UGC may focus more on production skill. The reliable threshold is the one in the deal requirements, together with country, platform and other eligibility criteria.

## The deal defines eligibility

Follower count is one screening field, not a universal entitlement to sponsorship. A brand may need a specific country, language, niche, age group or content format. Meeting the minimum does not guarantee selection, and a great portfolio may not override a mandatory condition.

LGI shows creator requirements on Deal pages when the brand supplies them. Review those fields and connect the relevant social account before applying. If a required field is unclear, ask for clarification instead of assuming you qualify.

## What to show alongside your follower count

Metrics are useful only when their context is clear. A median over comparable posts can be more informative than a large lifetime total. If you report engagement rate, explain the numerator, denominator and date range so a brand can evaluate it fairly.

- Relevant recent work that represents what you can repeat.

- Audience geography and interests from your own analytics.

- Typical reach or views over a stated period, not only your best post.

- Examples of clear product explanation and appropriate disclosure.

- A realistic delivery schedule and a concept tailored to the deal.

## Options when you are building an audience

Build a small portfolio of clearly labeled speculative work. Demonstrate hooks, product demonstrations, editing and clean audio using products you can legitimately show. Do not imply those samples were commissioned by the manufacturer.

Consider asset-only UGC deals alongside audience sponsorships. Confirm whether the brand needs publication on your account; UGC is sometimes used loosely to describe both. A production-led opportunity can still impose location, experience or quality requirements.

## Use a fit checklist before applying

| Question | Action |

| --- | --- |

| Do I meet mandatory platform and country rules? | Check the deal requirements and connected account |

| Is publication to my audience required? | Provide representative audience evidence |

| Can I deliver the requested format? | Link matching samples |

| Are fee and rights clear? | Clarify scope before agreeing |

## Questions

### Will buying followers help me qualify?

Purchased followers do not demonstrate real audience fit or production ability and can undermine the reliability of your analytics. Build your application around genuine work and actual audience data.
